Camera-based face verification, pose detection, and proctoring signals collected during identity checks and assessments may be biometric or special-category personal data under laws such as the GDPR and UK GDPR. We process this data only with your explicit, informed consent, solely to verify identity and protect assessment integrity. You are told before any such monitoring begins; it is never covert; and you may decline, with alternative arrangements offered where available. A human reviews any flag — automated systems do not make final decisions about you. We do not use this data to train AI models without your separate consent, and we retain it only as long as needed for the recruitment process or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Payment and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment details; TAQWI Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd. does not receive or store full payment card numbers.

When an employer uses TAQWI to assess candidates, that employer may act as a data controller for the resulting assessment data and TAQWI may act as a processor on its behalf.

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared in the following situations:
With Employers
When candidates apply for jobs or participate in assessments, their profile, CV, application data, and assessment or interview results may be shared with the respective hiring organization.
With Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party providers that help us operate the Platform, such as:

- Lemon Squeezy (payment processing and Merchant of Record)
- AI infrastructure providers

When you consent to an AI assessment or interview, you acknowledge that your responses may be analyzed by automated systems and shared with the relevant employer.
7. AI Processing and Third-Party Providers
TAQWI uses artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure providers to deliver Platform functionality.
Candidate data, CVs, interview responses, assessment submissions, and related content may be processed by third-party AI and cloud service providers solely to deliver the services you request.
Such providers process data under contractual privacy, confidentiality, and security obligations. They are not permitted to use customer content to train their models for unrelated purposes unless expressly permitted by contract and applicable law.
TAQWI does not sell user data.
We may use providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar service providers. The specific providers used may vary by feature, region, and configuration.
8. Data Retention
We retain user information for as long as necessary to:
- Maintain active accounts
- Provide platform services

Assessment and interview recordings may be retained for the duration of the recruitment process and as required by the employer or applicable law.
9. Account Deletion and Data Removal
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

Where available, you may also delete your account through the application account settings.
After a verified request, we will delete or anonymize personal data unless retention is required by law, for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, or to resolve an active dispute.
Typical deletion processing timeframe: 30 days from verification of your request, subject to legal or operational requirements.
