Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to the TAQWI Platform ("TAQWI", "we", "our", or "us"), operated by TAQWI Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd..

TAQWI is a web and mobile-based artificial intelligence platform designed to help individuals manage their careers, apply for jobs, participate in assessments, and develop career plans using AI-powered tools. Employers and organizations can use TAQWI to post job opportunities, manage candidate pipelines, conduct assessments, and manage recruitment processes.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications (including iOS and Android), and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

By registering an account, purchasing a paid plan, participating in an assessment or interview, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and (where applicable) our Refund Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Related Policies

These Terms should be read together with our other legal documents:

  • Privacy Policy — explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information.
  • Cookie Policy — explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
  • Refund Policy — explains when and how refunds may be issued for paid employer subscriptions and add-ons.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and a signed enterprise or custom agreement, the signed agreement governs for that organization.

3. Eligibility

The Platform is intended for individuals 18 years or older, or users legally eligible to work or participate in professional recruitment.

By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

Employers and organizations must ensure that authorized users acting on their behalf have authority to bind the organization to these Terms.

4. Account Registration & Security

To access certain features, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access or security breach

We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, violate these Terms, or pose a security or legal risk.

5. Platform Services

TAQWI provides AI-powered career and recruitment services, including but not limited to:

For Candidates

  • Resume and CV management and analysis
  • AI-powered career planning and skill recommendations
  • Job applications and career assessments
  • AI chatbot assessments and live or avatar-based AI interviews

For Employers and Organizations

  • Job posting and promotion
  • Candidate pipeline and recruitment workflow management
  • AI vetting, coding assessments, and multi-stage evaluations
  • Interview scheduling, offers, and contracts management
  • Talent pool search and candidate evaluation tools

Features available to you depend on your account type, subscription plan, and applicable usage limits.

6. User Roles & Responsibilities

6.1 Candidates

Candidates are responsible for the accuracy of profile information, resumes, and application materials submitted through the Platform. You acknowledge that your profile, CV, application data, and assessment or interview results may be shared with employers to whom you apply or whose assessments you complete.

6.2 Employers and Recruiters

Employers and recruiters are responsible for job postings, assessment content, hiring decisions, and compliance with applicable employment and anti-discrimination laws. TAQWI provides tools to support recruitment but does not make hiring decisions on behalf of employers.

6.3 Team Members

Organization accounts may include multiple team members with role-based access. The organization is responsible for managing permissions and for actions taken by its authorized users.

7. AI & Automated Processing

TAQWI uses artificial intelligence technologies to provide services such as resume analysis, career planning, job matching, AI chatbot assessments, live and avatar-based AI interviews, automated scoring, and proctoring during assessments.

These automated processes generate insights and scores to assist employers and candidates. They do not make final employment decisions. Hiring decisions remain solely with employers using the Platform.

When you consent to an AI assessment or interview, you acknowledge that your responses may be recorded, analyzed by automated systems, and shared with the relevant employer, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading purposes
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload malicious code, scrape data, or attempt unauthorized access to systems
  • Harass, discriminate against, or harm other users
  • Circumvent usage limits, billing controls, or security measures
  • Initiate chargebacks without first contacting us to resolve billing disputes
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell Platform features without authorization

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access where appropriate.

9. Subscriptions & Billing

TAQWI offers employer subscription plans, including Free, Starter, Growth, and Scale tiers, with features and limits as displayed on the Platform at the time of purchase.

9.1 Billing cycles

Paid subscriptions may be billed monthly or yearly. Yearly plans may include a discount (currently 20%) applied to the annual total shown at checkout.

9.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, invoicing, applicable tax collection, subscription management, and refunds. TAQWI does not store full payment card details. By purchasing a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges through Lemon Squeezy until you cancel in accordance with these Terms and our Refund Policy.

9.3 Taxes

Prices displayed are in USD and may exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.). Lemon Squeezy calculates and collects applicable taxes at checkout where required.

9.4 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops future renewals.

9.5 Price changes

We may change plan prices or features. Material changes to active subscriptions will be communicated in advance where required by applicable law.

10. Add-Ons

Optional add-ons may be available, including:

  • Extra AI Vetting Pack (+100 AI vettings per month)
  • Extra Job Slots (+5 job slots per month)
  • Priority Support (24/7 priority support access)

Add-ons are billed according to the billing cycle selected at purchase and may renew with your main subscription unless removed separately. Add-on quotas and refund eligibility are governed by our Refund Policy.

11. Usage Limits & Fair Use

Each subscription plan includes usage limits for features such as active job slots, AI vetting completions, team seats, job posts, internal assessments, job boosts, and talent pool views, as shown in the plan comparison on the Platform.

You agree to use the Platform within your plan limits. Exceeding limits may require upgrading your plan or purchasing add-ons.

We reserve the right to restrict usage that materially exceeds reasonable plan consumption or that appears intended to circumvent billing.

12. Cancellations, Downgrades & Upgrades

12.1 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through Account Settings > Billing where available, or by contacting support. Upon cancellation, your plan typically remains active until the end of the current billing period. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the unused portion of that period.

12.2 Downgrades

Downgrades generally take effect at the next billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for the difference between plans during the current cycle.

12.3 Upgrades

Upgrades may be charged immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of the billing cycle, where applicable.

12.4 Yearly plans

Yearly subscriptions are billed in advance for the full year and are non-transferable between organizations or accounts.

13. Refunds

Refund eligibility, including the 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers and billing error refunds, is governed by our Refund Policy.

By purchasing paid services, you agree to the Refund Policy in addition to these Terms. Please review the Refund Policy before completing a purchase.

14. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which explain how we collect, use, store, and share information.

Key points include:

  • We do not sell personal data
  • Candidate application and assessment data may be shared with relevant employers
  • Assessment and interview recordings may be collected with your consent
  • Payment information is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record
  • You may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data depending on your jurisdiction

By using the Platform, you consent to data processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

15. Intellectual Property

TAQWI Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd. owns all Platform software, branding, designs, algorithms, documentation, and other intellectual property created by or for TAQWI, except for third-party materials used under license.

You retain ownership of content you submit, including CVs, uploaded documents, job postings, candidate information, assessment responses, and other customer-provided content.

By submitting content, you grant TAQWI a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, display, process, and transmit that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Platform and provide services to you and relevant employers.

No ownership of your content is transferred to TAQWI under these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Platform except as expressly permitted by law or with our prior written consent.

16. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TAQWI disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

TAQWI does not guarantee:

  • That you will receive a job offer or hire a candidate
  • The accuracy or completeness of AI-generated insights or scores
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TAQWI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to TAQWI in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred USD ($100), whichever is greater, except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.

17. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or if continued access poses a legal, security, or operational risk.

You may delete your account or cancel paid services in accordance with account settings and these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to access paid features ends as of the termination date or end of the billing period, as applicable
  • Provisions that by their nature should survive (including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive termination

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account and loss of access to paid features and stored recruitment data.

18. Service Availability

TAQWI targets high platform availability and may perform scheduled maintenance from time to time.

Any uptime percentages or availability targets are goals and do not constitute a service-level agreement unless explicitly stated in a separate written enterprise agreement.

We may experience downtime due to factors outside our reasonable control, including third-party infrastructure failures or force majeure events.

If a prolonged outage materially prevents access to paid features, remedies may be available as described in our Refund Policy.

19. Enterprise & Custom Agreements

Organizations on Scale, enterprise, or custom contracts may be subject to additional or different terms defined in a signed agreement.

Where a custom contract conflicts with these Terms or our Refund Policy, the signed agreement governs for that organization.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in:

  • Platform features or pricing
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Business practices

Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

21. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection or employment laws in your jurisdiction where such laws apply and cannot be waived.

22. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal legal proceedings, you agree to contact us at info@taqwi.ai and allow a reasonable opportunity (at least 30 days) to resolve the dispute in good faith.

During this period, both parties will attempt to negotiate a resolution through direct communication.

If the dispute is not resolved through good-faith negotiation, either party may pursue remedies available under applicable law in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Pakistan, unless mandatory local law requires otherwise.
