1. Introduction
This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds may be issued for purchases made through the TAQWI Platform ("TAQWI", "we", "our", or "us"), including employer subscription plans and add-ons.
This policy applies to the TAQWI website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By purchasing a paid plan or service on the Platform, you agree to this Refund Policy in addition to our Terms and Conditions.
Lemon Squeezy (Sold through Link, LLC, f/k/a Lemon Squeezy LLC) is the Merchant of Record for purchases made through the Platform. Approved refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method. You may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly about a payment using the link on your Lemon Squeezy order receipt.

2. Scope
This policy covers paid services for Employers and Organizations, including:
- Subscription plans (Free, Starter, Growth, Scale)
- Monthly and yearly billing
- Add-ons (e.g., Extra AI Vetting Pack, Extra Job Slots, Priority Support)
Free plans are provided at no charge and are not eligible for refunds.
This policy does not apply to:
- Fees paid directly to third-party payment processors outside TAQWI
- Custom enterprise agreements unless stated otherwise in your contract
- Candidate-facing services, unless explicitly stated
3. General Principles
TAQWI operates on a subscription model. Refunds are limited because many services involve immediate delivery of digital goods and consumed resources (such as AI processing and assessments).
Our pricing commitments include:
- Cancel anytime — you may cancel a subscription; cancellation stops future renewals.
- No hidden charges — prices shown at checkout are the prices you pay, excluding applicable taxes.
- Secure billing — payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record.
Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes calculated at checkout by Lemon Squeezy.
Cancellation is not the same as a refund. When you cancel, you typically retain access until the end of your current billing period, and previously paid fees may not be refunded except as described in Sections 7 and 9.
4. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time.
Cancellation prevents future renewals. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise stated or required by law.
You can cancel by:
- Using Account Settings > Billing in the application, where available; or
- Contacting support at info@taqwi.ai.
After cancellation, you will not be charged for subsequent billing periods. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period except as described elsewhere in this policy.
5. Subscription Plans
5.1 Monthly subscriptions
If you subscribe to a monthly paid plan (Starter, Growth, or Scale):
- Fees are billed in advance for each billing cycle.
- If you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the unused portion of that period, unless you qualify under Section 7 (Money-Back Guarantee) or Section 9 (Billing Errors).
- Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No partial refunds are issued for the difference between plans during the current cycle.
- Upgrades are charged immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of the billing cycle, where applicable.
5.2 Yearly subscriptions
If you subscribe to a yearly paid plan (including plans billed with a 20% annual discount):
- Fees are billed in advance for the full year.
- If you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the yearly term unless otherwise required by law.
- No partial refunds are issued for unused months after the money-back period in Section 7, except where required by applicable law or in cases of billing error (Section 9).
- Yearly plans are non-transferable between organizations or accounts.
6. Add-Ons
Add-ons (including Extra AI Vetting Pack, Extra Job Slots, and Priority Support) are billed according to the billing cycle selected at purchase (monthly or aligned with your main subscription).
- Add-ons cancel with your subscription or may be removed separately, depending on account settings.
- No refunds are provided for add-ons already billed for the current period.
- If an add-on quota (e.g., +100 AI vettings) has been partially or fully used, that portion is non-refundable.
7. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (First Paid Subscription)
TAQWI offers a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time paid subscribers on employer subscription plans.
You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of your initial paid subscription purchase if:
- This is your organization's first paid subscription on TAQWI; and
- You have not substantially consumed paid resources beyond reasonable trial use.
For clarity, "substantial consumption" may include, but is not limited to:
- More than 25% of your plan's monthly AI vetting allowance
- More than 25% of your plan's monthly job post or active job allowance
This guarantee applies once per organization/account. It does not apply to:
- Subscription renewals
- Plan upgrades or downgrades
- Add-ons purchased separately
- Enterprise or custom contracts
8. Free Plan
The TAQWI Free plan is provided at no cost. No payment is collected and no refunds apply.
9. Billing Errors and Unauthorized Charges
We will refund charges that result from:
- Duplicate billing for the same service
- Incorrect plan or amount charged due to a TAQWI system error
- Unauthorized charges confirmed after investigation (subject to verification)
To report a billing error, contact info@taqwi.ai within 30 days of the charge with:
- Account email and organization name
- Invoice or transaction ID
- Date and amount charged
- Description of the issue
Verified billing errors are typically refunded by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
10. Service Outages
TAQWI targets high platform availability. If a prolonged outage materially prevents access to paid features for an extended period, we may, at our discretion:
- Issue a service credit toward a future billing cycle, or
- Provide a partial refund proportional to the affected period
Any uptime percentages or availability targets are goals and do not constitute a service-level agreement unless explicitly stated in a separate written enterprise agreement.
Credits or refunds for outages are not automatic and require a support request. Scheduled maintenance and issues outside our reasonable control (e.g., third-party infrastructure failures, force majeure) may not qualify.
11. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us at info@taqwi.ai before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. We will work in good faith to resolve the issue.
As Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy manages payment disputes and chargebacks; please contact us (or Lemon Squeezy via your receipt) before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve it first.
Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in:
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account
- Loss of access to paid features and stored recruitment data, subject to our Terms and Conditions
12. Enterprise and Custom Agreements
Organizations on Scale, enterprise, or custom contracts may be subject to refund terms defined in their signed agreement. Where a custom contract conflicts with this policy, the contract governs.
13. Taxes
All prices may exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, etc.). Tax amounts are generally non-refundable unless required by law or refunded together with an eligible subscription refund by the applicable tax authority's rules.
Where a refund is issued, any applicable taxes are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record in line with the relevant tax rules.

Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email. Continued use of paid services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, unless otherwise required by law.
